Tomi Schwirkmann founded Crusoemedia in 2017. In 2023, Isartal Health Media, a company of the Wort & Bild Verlagsgruppe (publisher of Apotheken Umschau), acquired a majority stake; the company continued as Develop HealthTech, with Schwirkmann staying on as Chief Sales Officer. In 2025 he completed his exit. TREHL AI, founded in 2026, builds the systems he found missing in those years.
